CINEMAS ALL OVER INDONESIA

THE FIRST EVER FEATURE FOOD FILM, TABULA RASA

Premiere: 25 September 2014

Tabula Rasa film ketiga produksi LifeLike Pictures telah merampungkan proses produksinya dan siap untuk rilis pada 25 September 2014.

Setelah sukses memproduksi film Pintu Terlarang (2009) dan Modus Anomali (2012) yang penuh ketegangan dan mendapat banyak review positif baik dari dalam negeri maupun mancanegara, kali ini rumah produksi Lifelike Pictures menghadirkan film ber-genre family drama yang akan mengangkat kekayaan masakan Minang, berjudul “Tabula Rasa”. Seperti diketahui masakan Minang merupakan salah satu masakan Indonesia yang populer, bahkan keberadaan rumah makan Padang (Minang) tersebar dari pulau Sumatera hingga Papua.

Tabula Rasa 1

Tabula Rasa yang dalam bahasa Latin berarti “kesempatan untuk memulai sesuatu tanpa prasangka” menjadi kesempatan bagi sineas muda Adriyanto Dewo selaku sutradara dan penulis Tumpal Tampubolon dalam menunjukan potensinya. Sheila Timothy selaku produser Tabula Rasa yang dalam film ketiganya ini juga menggaet aktor kenamaan Indonesia, Vino G. Bastian yang untuk pertama kalinya bekerja di balik layar sebagai Associate Producer.

Film Tabula Rasa merupakan food film pertama di Indonesia. Film ini bercerita tentang Hans, pemuda asal Serui, Papua yang harus mengubur cita-citanya menjadi pemain sepakbola profesional. Ditengah keputusasaan-nya, Hans bertemu Mak Uwo pemilik Lapau (rumah makan Padang sederhana) yang membuatnya kembali menemukan semangat hidup. Hans pun mencoba membangun hidupnya kembali dengan bekerja di dapur Lapau.

Dalam rangka memperkenalkan film Tabula Rasa, LifeLike Pictures merilis photo scene dalam film Tabula Rasa. Dalam foto adegan yang terlampir terlihat suasana dapur tradisional Minang yang di-set up secara khusus oleh Iqbal Marjono selaku art director untuk film Tabula Rasa. Dapur tersebut menggunakan kayu bakar untuk memasak seperti layaknya dapur masyarakat tradisional Minang. Selain itu terdapat pula foto karakter Hans dalam film Tabula Rasa, dalam foto tersebut nampak Hans sedang duduk diatas sebuah perahu menyusuri Danau Sarawandori di Serui. Tabula Rasa mengambil lokasi shooting di Jakarta, Bogor, dan Serui (Papua).

Tak hanya foto adegan, LifeLike Pictures juga merilis teaser dari behind the scene pembuatan film Tabula Rasa. Teaser tersebut dapat anda lihat di channel Youtube ‘Tabula Rasa film’ di tautan (link). Dalam teaser tersebut ditampilkan bagaimana tim art Tabula Rasa sedang set up lapau ( rumah makan minang) beserta dapur tradisional khas Minang. Sheila Timothy juga menjelaskan mengenai Tabula Rasa yang merupakan film makanan pertama di Indonesia yang akan memberikan kebersamaan dan harmoni serta bercerita tentang bagaimana seseorang dapat membangun kembali harapannya.

From 15 to 22 September 2014, the two-Michelin-starred chef, Michel Sarran from the Michel Sarran restaurant in Toulouse, will be showcasing Midi-Pyrénées-style French cuisine.

Known for his devotion in highlighting local produce from the southwest of France, Chef Michel’s cooking tells the story of his personal memory and experiences. One of his award-winning dishes, Soup de Foie Gras was one of the dishes that he created during his early days of working with one of the foremost French chefs, Alain Ducasse at Le Juana by the seaside of Juan-Les-Pins. It was here that Chef Michel exquisitely combined Midi-Pyrénées best produce, the delicate foie gras with local oyster, making it the epitome of his culinary creation.

During his visit, Chef Michel will present some of his signature dishes that combine local produce with influences from all over the world including Black Angus beef from Nebraska and foie gras in tonkatsu pulpe of root-tubercle, lemon zest and bresaola crisps, Canadian lobster tempura and spice mango pulp marinated with combawa, nori and Aquitaine caviar, which has influences from Japanese culture and cuisine, and a signature dessert Tarbais beans in light old rum mousse and coconut milk marron glace ice cream.

Guest can enjoy chef Michel’s award-winning dishes on a three-course menu priced at IDR 388,000++, four-course menu at IDR 788,000++ or a six-course degustation menu at IDR 1,588,000++. If you prefer to have an up and close dining experience with Chef Michel, then you can join the Chef’s Table with a minimum of four people and maximum of six people at IDR 2,588,000++ or sign up for a cooking class at IDR 988,000++ includes two-course lunch.

Armed with working experience with some of the world’s greatest chefs, Chef Michel opened his own restaurant, Michel Sarran Restaurant, which quickly became one of the finest restaurants in the charming city of Toulouse in France, claiming its first Michelin star in 1996, only a year after opening. A second Michelin star followed in 2003. Sarran’s cuisine has graced the tables of Nelson Mandela, and the French Prime Minister.
